#Elevate20
In 2020, my photo team and I launched #elevate20 - where we worked with creatives from the NY Tri-state area whose livelihoods have been impacted in 2020 for free socially-distanced mini-shoots.
While I love seeing Black Lives Matter tattooed on the streets of our nation, we know real change happens when we have a seat at the table. Using the power of the camera, we dedicated our time to helping us get there.
Ahh! I am so so very excited to share this news with you: one of my photos of my good friend @daniellezinaich has been picked up by Vogue Magazine! We shot this virtually during the height of Covid in NY. I’m so grateful that during a dark time we were able to dig in, be creative, and create an image with so much light. Being in Vogue is a dream that pops into your head the first time you even dabble with shooting fashion, and right now as a black photographer in this moment, this carries so much weight for me. Excited for what’s next, and thank you to Danielle for being a great friend, and a talented homeopath as you’ll learn about in the article!
